Puuuh, another one ticked off...
This here I started last spring, with intentions
long forgotten, but obviously in a daffodil mood...
“For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.”
(William Wordsworth)

I find this so perfectly appealing - the softness of colors, the lightness of the flowers and the words of solitude -something not in great supply just now!
To lie under such a quilt...I think I could dream of daffodils and spring and be quite cozy warm.
The daffodils is the journal entry of Dorothy Wordsworth referred to in an article I read about Wordswoth online, not sure where, which says that many of his images came from her writing.
nice to see some flowers at this time of year. these are like the ghosts of daffodils past.
It turned out quite pleasing... I like the machine embroidery as just being an echo of the fabric flowers... it´s not big enough to lie under, though, just about 60 x 90 cm...
