Having bought this skirt in a thrift-store, for the
fabric, cutting off the buttons...
... I found small bundles of fabric behind them, on
the back side...
... which, openend up and ironed...
... revealed a young lady, ready for her afternoon
tennis match...

Oh that is just amazing! Almost as if she has been kept cocooned all this time-like an Egyptian mummy- and now she has been born again.I hope you do something with her.
Magical! A real gift. How fortunate that it was you who brought her home.
What a lovely find!
oh my gosh! that is so astonishing. She has been there, waiting for you. Is she printed, or woven, or drawn? You'll have to tease her story out of her. What a wonderful discovery.
What a find, and the puzzle became the young lady with her tennis racquet...pays to be inquisitive.
Lovely new fabric and buttons.
Jacky xox
very cool! love the stripes too
What a strange small journey.
I love that! A secret hidden for a time and now...it is in the "light of day". I agree, you must do something with her : )
p.s. beautiful buttons!
What a magical discovery! mmm... so many ideas of what to do with her.
Unglaublich. Eine Botschaft im Secondhand-Rock. Wie wahrscheinlich ist es denn, dass sowas passiert? Das ist phantastisch.
How funny!
an unexpected story.....
What a wonderful find - it pays to go thrifting!
Lucky You! I love magical finds like that. Can't wait to see what you're going to do with her. Gilli
Wow, buried treasure! Wonder what the story is behind this. I'm interested to see what you do with it.
Glad you like her... didn´t need the proof that it´s smart to be a Second Hand Rose, but here it is... - at the moment, I´m sorry to report, she´s lost in the fabric mess - but will show up again eventually...
sometimes, if i think fabric has a mind of its own, then something being lost takes on a different cast... esp here, where the fabric has a face. she's not lost! she's exploring!
Ha, yes... that´s why the lady is a tramp...
what a surprise! how cool x
