Sometimes I don´t even like them...
But what can you do, they just come out as they
please - here: a potato-faced prima ballerina...
"year-worn
weary to the bone,
dancing in the dark with the
dark,
the Suicide Kid gone
gray.
ah, the swift summers
over and gone
forever!
is that death
stalking me
now?
no, it’s only my cat,
this
time."

Well, I like her. She looks like she'd be fun to know. A quirky friend is the best. :) Nice head gear and skirt. What are her arms made of?
she has a certain insouciance i admire, as if she were saying "like me or not, i will still dance"
I think she's very appealing. I love the buttons on her feet.
Hello Heike, I just had a big catch up all down your blog. I adore the poetry scarf and the little mouse sticking out of the scarecrow pocket. Your ballerina doll is so original. I like that they all come out different with their own personality. I don't think she would like you calling her potato face, she's lovely!
:o)
..well, for what it's worth...
..I think this one's lovely!
Sometimes things, people even, can be just TOO beautiful. It makes them un-reachable.
This one is begging to be picked up and hugged :-)
LShe looks tentative about her balance.
Your prima ballerina is wonderful...will she be going in your shop (I still have my voucher I won and would love one of your potato faces).
Beautiful, beautiful lace tutu.

Very sweet of you all to conspire in reconciling me with potato-face (oopps, did it again - ok, let´s call her PeBe - + perhaps there´s more of me in her than I care to admit... ;) - her arms + nose are made from an old sheet of music - +, yes, Jacky, thus encouraged, I´ll put her in the shop...
I LOVE that she has a mind of her own.. don't you?
I agree with arlee about the insouciance -- she has a sassy air that is very appealing. "LOOK!" I hear her saying, "I'M NOT TIPPING OVER!"
and thanks for the Bukowski quote -- I read him in college and not since.
Yes, Dee, I do... - + I´m coming back to Bukowski often - I´m no fan of any dirty-old-man attitutes, but he´s a POET...
beautiful in her own unique way...as all your works.
Thank you, Jane - a compliment which is true for your work, too...
