April in August

Lot of rain here, with sudden bursts of sunshine
in between, at 15 degrees...

Well, I asked for it I guess, despising the heat,
constantly being in a somewhat stubborn stay-at-home
mood anyways...

One gets things done that way at least...
Yesterday I came up with this fringy border solution...

No, that´s not an installation - it´s my wardrobe in
it´s usual overloaded disarray (inside it´s half empty,
though...) under the influence of April in August
weather and a rare bit of luck in finding, without
searching, two affordable stone grey cotton cardigans...

I always love my visits here, a visual treat. I first fell in love with your stitching when I saw those leaves on flickr a couple of years ago, did you know that? Your birds are gorgeous and I love your pale blue/grey leaf stitching (latest). All beautiful x

It seems you would disappear in the fog if you went out....

Ahhhhh, how I'm wishing for rain...it's an elixir for the garden...we have been dry here in the Pacific Northwest of America for several moons now.

Your *fringy border solution* is such a rain prize!

Really interesting the border you used here. And also the wardrobe.
I've been following you for a short time, and I have to say that I love your work. It always inspires me. Congrats!

Thank you for liking the colour + the leaf (one leaf embellishment suits the lazy stitcher...;) + the baskets (the one on the right came from a fair-trade-catalogue, the middle one is handmade in Germany) + wardrobe plus cardigans + the birds + for looking back in fondness + for seeing fog where no fog is (cheers, Deb, just unwashed panes...;) + the fringy border...

No conscious decision, most of the time... actually, I started this one at night, with bad lighting, being rather disgusted with it in the light of day at first - but now feel cons(ist)ent...
