I'm lingering in that silvery place also.
your leaves are beautiful; there must be a perfect storm of falling leaves around you now. k.
That is a lovely post but your previous post's poem has spooked me - I just wrote MY blog post and then this poem, which I have read since, totally sums it up
so very beautiful xx
always love the addition of the lace...
This is a lovely gathering!
Hello! I was 'away' for a while so now I found many lovely things you have made! You have wonderful imagination and talent to create beautiful things! Thanks for a lovely moment with my coffee!Teje
There is something about leaves and Fall that really captures me <3Lovely stitching and words!
Hello + thanks + wishing everyone a good week (with free access to "that silvery place", whenever you want to go there...;)
gorgeous conbinations! your free motion stitching is perfection...i'm working on mine!
What a lovely way to hold fall...
Beautifully October! Whenever I think of autumn leaves, I think of Shelley's "Ode to the West Wind" and the line "destroyer and preserver"--love the way you've preserved the leaves of this autumn!
To tell you the truth, I´ve been looking at this piece for a while, + the prospect of lots of hand stitching on it kind of fatigued me, so I took to the machine - glad I did (far from perfection, though, just rattling along...)
its in the air
The lace and the leaf complement each other so well.
Gathering October .... I love that idea. When Autumn comes around again in South Africa I will think of it as Gathering May.
Leafage + old lace, yes, a pleasantly quaint partnership... - + I like the idea of autumn in May, brings a healthy quantum of detachment into that leavesmania...
mm.. lovely blend...
