Flower Power

A stack of embroidered table-clothes a friend gave
me yesterday - they´re from her aunt (who contemplated
throwing them away...)

I wondered whether I´d have the nerve to cut into
them, took a deep breath - and did it...
First result: a Flower Lady

"In order to live free and happily you must sacrifice
boredom. It is not always an easy sacrifice."

I'm smiling. I just recently found that quote by Richard Bach and was planning on using it in a post. I guess I'd better hurry up and use the other ones I found!

What a wonderful project for those table clothes.

The doll is delightful! (glad you were brave!) The indigo fabric will be fun to create with, what a treat. Love Richard Bach!

Good catch by your friend. These will be fun to work with. I like the woman interacting with the flower, I'd be tempted to make a summery top.

- have to admit I´m not especially familiar with LB - just saw the quote + kind of liked it (usually avoiding "must"-statements, though...)- so all the rest of them are yours!
- hi, E Marie - I wonder, do you have a blog...?
- no top for me (being a grey person, not a hippie girl) - + somehow I can´t see you as a typical flower-wearing lady, too :)

I like the indigo fabrics you bought yourself. I bought some in April - so I'll look forward to seeing what you do with yours xx

Love the way the flower lady turned out! What a nice stash of vintage embroidery you've received.

What a perfect way to use the embroidered fabric! You kept its integrity, yet created a wonderful piece of your own.
