Remembering October

Almost finished this one, called Rainy weather (of which
we had more than enough in the last couple days...) - it´s
going to be my quilt of the month for October - when I made
this in September, I got the idea of starting a
collection of small quilts, each one dedicated to a month...

"Fallen leaves lying on the grass in the November sun
bring more happiness than the daffodils."

Hello Ger, I am so pleased that I found the way to comment on your posts. For a long time now I have been visiting you and wanted to comment but then I found your message on the side

I love the idea of your quilted piece for each month and November's is so very beautiful

Thanks, Carolyn... sorry for making it complicated (that´s from when I still was a shy blogger, can´t change it back to normal... :)

It speaks also of transition and change I think - as if the center were a turning wheel.

A turning wheel + a (more or less)solid block all the same...

can't believe we are remembering it already, will you stitch them all together?

The little quilts for each month--love the idea of making them so atmospheric! November's evokes all of my November feelings at a glance.

That´s my intention I guess, to preserve a bit of atmosphere from each month... no stitching together I think (different sizes), but perhaps I connect them somehow in the end... - this one is for October, by the way, not November :)
