you and johnny cash! an odd attraction? or not? maybe i just know too little about both of you. that's probably it. anyway...this is just great, this ring of fire.. and thank you for "coming over to my house" and to add...here, for whatever reason, avacado pits/skins with a chunk of rusted metal makes that grey/very vaguely tinge of lavendar you see in the long flag hanging??? we have odd water here i think.
No odd attraction, a long + strong one... - have been foraging at a construction site across the street for a chunk of rusted metal myself the other day - that untypical pink mood can´t last forever, I´d welcome some grey/lavender for a change I think... thanks for visiting right back...
As soon as I read:'burning ring of fire' I thought Johnny Cash. But I am not the only one who noticed that. I love the combination of music with embroidery. You already know that since I hardly can make a project with some reference to music.
Whew, indeed... - yes, Elizabeth, me too - though I hardly ever listen to music - but it´s in my head + a main creative motor, somehow... - if it´s correct how they show it in the movie, June Carter has written that song...
Thank you... - I once went to see a Cash documentary + the cinema man´s daughter, who obviously had seen it before, was singing "and it burns burns burns..." over + over in the foyer, little brother chirping "burns burns" too - a song´s a real classic when that happens I guess...

Hope you had a lovely, hot weekend.

love the composition.
Thank you... it more or less composed itself, though...
perfect for the day here. melting.
Love this one and hate the heat too, so I like that your ring of fire has a little cooling relief of blue in it.
Oh the heat is coming this way and now I have that song stuck in my head! I do like your sun...although I am thinking compass. :)
Soooo hot here too! Ugh!
I love how you have made all those
pieces of fabric "melt" together seamlessly! Beautiful!
