Autumn Mauve

An Autumn Mauve Pack has just fallen from the
fabric tree, right into the shop...

And what´s that? A glimpse into the current production:
Black chokeberries... A friendly Berlin reader sent me
them - straight from her garden - in a parcel, thoughtfully
adding a plant description (from which I learned they
originate from North America).
More about that soon...

did you really dye that fabric with grapes?

It all looks good enough to eat!

No grapes dye (didn´t mean to suggest that, it was just for the colour), a logwood/brazilwood mix, mostly - but I´m eating the grapes, and tasted the berries, (wonderfully healthy, according to that description, but very bitter...) no fabric eating, though - enough that the apartment suffers from constant fabric constipation...

I placed my order. I'm very excited! And I do want some of the black that is dyed with chokecherries. You see chokecherries in my area of Northern New Mexico. People make jelly out of them, and now we know they use it to dye. Thanks so much!

Thanks, Annell... - my choke-b/ch?-erries results so far are different shades of blue + when exhausted a very nice grey - still working at perhaps getting such purple shades out of them too as the paper in the 3. photo...

Lovely colours! I'm about to start a dye jar with the first batch of sloes I collected today. Isn't nature marvelous!
