As I mentioned before, some weeks ago a friendly
Berlin reader offered to send me chokeberries
(Apfelbeeren) from her garden...
Mauve, again...?! No, it only looks like that untill
washed - which suited me fine ("blue is the only colour
I feel comfortable with", Franz Marc said)...
I dipped some stuffed hearts in the liquid, though,
to keep that shade...
Here are two portions of chokeberry grey (dyed
in exhausted brew), spot dipped in a fresher one -
unwashed on the left, washed on the right...
And here´s a nice land(moon?)scape (finished state)...
Could have gotten darker blues out of them
(still have some more of the berries left in the
fridge), but I liked the gentle, faded shades better -
they go very nicely with the soft, timeworn cottons
I used...
A Berry Blues Pack, a Berry Clouds Pack and a
October Silk Pack will be in the shop later this
afternoon, together with some Mixed-media...

They look abit like sloe berries we have in the Uk and if they are, then make a great slow gin by adding them to cheap n cheerful gin
with sugar, about now and then by christmas, drink the magical pink gin youve made!lol
