Batik bungling...

Some first results with batik...

I decided I want to take that up - for creating patterns,
additional to dyeing - and as a means for writing on
fabric...

My new fair trade cantings from Indonesia, which
came in a nice fabric covered box...
I thought I might be able to put together some freshly
batiked fabric pack by the end of the week - but this
definitely takes longer than anticipated...

I adore batik too. I did it at college and I have a waxpot which I use regularly. You will have a lot of fun!

I love words written or embroidered in fabric.
It has a lovely mellow patina, but best of all
it tells a story.

I think you will have a lot of fun,it doesn't have to be perfect, even a few blobs can be nice. The peaceful colours are lovely as usual.
