Bundling off...

Almost a pity to unwrap them, isn´t it...

This one´s my recent September Leaves in the making.
Lotta over at Inleaf is doing a weekly bundle project
(2. week already), and I think it´s a fine idea and am
going to go along with it - there are several experiments
on my agenda, for example with these...

And isn´t this lovely, too...

And here´s something which turned out rather nicely
I think: tea, iron, grapes on natural silk...

Less impact on white cotton, but nice, too...

A piece of the natural silk is in my latest fabric pack
- September Sun and Storm

As I said: I´m going along with Lotta and her bundles -
but not on a weekly base, really, because...

I will be reducing blogging considerably from now
on - I´ve come to realize that I´m loosing interest
in it, and that it takes up too big a portion of my
time and energy...
So, expect to find something new here about twice
a month in the time to come. Fresh wares in the shop
will be announced between posts in the "New in the shop"
photo and link in the sidebar - and I might be offering
a newsletter - there´s a mailing list concerning new
fabric packs already, but I´d like to expand this
into a broader means of communication, if some of you´d
be interested. More about that another time - for now:

THANK YOU
and
CHEERS
and
HANG LOOSE...

you don't find better art than your wrap assemblage..except for the treasures inside..

I understand your feeling about blogging....
sometimes it feels like a chore which takes away the joy and spontaneity of sharing discoveries...

keep me posted whichever way you go...

love the september pack..one of the packs arrived yesterday...so lovely and so hard to think about using for anything other than to admire!

Cooeee, i'll miss your posts but i well and truly understand, more stitching and less typing.
The bundle is lovely just as it is, but the results were well worth unbundling it for.
That reminds me - bundles - they can be an intriguing artwork in themselves. I did a basketry workshop with Pat Hickman once and to my surprise she concentrated on bundles, not baskets.
What's the dark red flower above?

oh too bad....it does take time, but it is sometimes a way to connect.

Hello... yes, well, I´m happy with the decision... it´s a great way to get connected and start communication - but not necessarily one to carry on and cultivate them, that might be hampered even by constant scattered blog chatter...

Thank you for the link. I'm sorry you wont be around here so much. I do completely understand though. Looking forward to seeing in what direction you go . . .

I feel sad, because I like to follow your process. But I understand it. It's not only a question of time, it's a question of concentration and mind cleanness, I guess.

Thank you too.

I can understand this... be happy. :)

I understand too, especially about the blog chatter.

Ger I love your bundling experiments! Thanks for mentioning mine. Your timeframe is much more realistic than mine, but honestly my "resolution" is really pushing me to try something new each week. I totally understand your need for limiting online/blog/cyberspace time. One of the many reasons I recently got a new studio (wo computer/internet connection ) was to get away from the chatter. I wish you the best. We will stay in touch, even if less frequently.

i'll miss seeing your process regularly, but i suspected as much, from your comment at my place. i hope this creates room for new energy & that you'll come back refreshed some day. it's such a lovely place you have here.

I hope you don't ' bundle off ' for too long, but I too understand the feeling; sometimes I wonder what I did with my time before I blogged, no doubt I stitched and generally worked more.

silks arrived today - thank you. Beautiful.

it's a shame for us, but I perfectly understand your reasons. All the best!

All the best from me too, to everyone - and thanks kindly for your remarks here... I won´t bundle off completely...;)

I've been reading in leaf for some time and even ordered a couple of books on eco dying, but haven't done a thing.

I love the way your piece turned out--maybe I'll be inspired to to make an effort in this direction!

Do, Jenclair... I don´t feel inspired about it myself too often - but if, it´s fun...
