Forgotten memories

Here´s a nice vintage patchwork-style
embroidered tablecloth I bought (for 1 €...)

The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten."

What a lovely find!

...a piece of work that took up a number of hours of a person's life...

...saved by someone who cares....

Interesting how it is stitched...only a loose satin style.

The tablecloth is almost like a science chart showing different kinds of atoms.

A bargain, isn´t it? I´m going to make it into a quilt I think ...

Interessant.

The shapes remind me of Navajo blankets. Very nice!

Yes... - there´s some wild energy in this, disguised as needlework - whether electric, Native American or...

A great find and I like your button bounty too. Some days my 'seams feel frayed and my hems fallen' but sometimes it helps to get out the wool and knock it about a bit. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Maybe this is something very german? I have inherited a few tablecloths in this style. They always make me think of the women sitting there, doing the embroidery. In my imagination these women are always in company, never alone.
I also like the words about the memories and the moments, very true.
