Went for a gallery and bookstore stroll yesterday
afternoon - here´s something I saw...
Works by Uli Fischer, at art of textiles gallery,
which he calls "textile objects" - made with frayed
and stained vintage fabrics on canvas - like silks from
Japan and China (part of a Kimono on the right)...
... or the backside of old embroidered sari silk...

Ooh lovely! Fabulous pink and wonderful stitching. Nice find.
You've just confirmed my notion to mount the latest thing on a large canvas
Interesting!
Thanks for updating my link :-)
very nice!
Nice post! Thanks
Love the backside of the embroidery. It's movement reminds me of Japanese pictures of trees.
Very clever use of exquisite fabrics...I always find art to inspire me when I visit your blog...thank you.
so little is required to draw a face...k.
Ist das eine Galerie für Textilkunst, oder ist das nur für diese Ausstellung? Muss ich mal schauen gehen, sehr interessant.
Wow! I'm amazed he wasn't tempted to add a few of his own stitches!
Thank you for bringing gallery to us! Wonderful works and lovely idea to use fabrics!
Best wishes Teje
